I remember the first day I met you (which was the only day I think lol). You, Michael, and me had a fun day downtown and I thought you were a really nice, really sweet person! :)
I think my most vivid memory comes in a combo pack. The day you agreed to model for me so that I could get my portfolio handed in on time and then we bonded over the stupidness of men. Drawing and posing and listening to Loreena McKennitt until the sun turned itself off.
And then the day you left Mt A, which to this day is still the last day I've seen you. Crying and weeping and I met your mother. You gave me your box of 96 crayons (which I still have btw) and a mini Christmas tree, which for years I used for the gerbils I had. They had their very own tree. And that was the day I gave you the promise ring Dave gave me.
"It may not mean anything between him & I anymore, but it's still supposed to hold a promise and I promise I'll always be your friend." ... Or I said omething to that effect.
A chain of memories!erlkingNovember 24 2004, 02:40:24 UTC
I remember standing at the music book section in Chapters, striking up a conversation with the girl who was looking at the Tori Amos music books I was so interested in myself.
I remember getting a PM (or was it an email?) from one of the few other Newfoundlanders on atforumz.com asking if I was the guy from Chapters.
I remember going to Chapters together during your visit to the city this september, talking about anything and everything (including how Margaret Atwood's prose was like milkshakes), and getting too-strong Starbucks coffee. The whole visit was pretty much three-and-a-half days of nonstop conversation, bonding, etc., and I'm really glad the power of Sarah Harmer got you to the city, so I could build such a rich, bright bundle of good memories on the foundation of that one scant, dim memory from Chapters --- was it four years ago?
