Yuletide 2022

Eroica Yori Ai o Komete | From Eroica with Love

I would love some seasonally appropriate shenanigans, if possible. Christmas in the snowy Downs or Schloss Eberbach, hijinks in Lapland - maybe they have to retrieve some microfilm from Santa’s Grotto?! (…heads up, not 100% sure when Santa’s Grotto up in Lapland opened as like a full tourist thing, but artistic license?) 1970s-era spy film ridiculousness would also be insanely amazing.

As I mentioned on the main sign-up, gen/slash, it’s all good. Happy with friends, rivals, pining and UST? Love it all.

Malory Towers - Enid Blyton

Anything with Bill and Clarissa would make my year - maybe set while they share a study in school? Maybe post-canon with their stables just down the road from the school? I just feel this has such potential for classic lesbian romance - however, again happy with gen instead.

Monstrous Regiment - Terry Pratchett

Can we get some soft romance between our Tonker and Lofty? They know each other inside and out, and I just would love to see them thrive after they slip away from the Army. Maybe something about a building that may or may not burn down just after they leave town, maybe their adventures as they roam across the country - or maybe they get to just eat chocolate in a big room where the world is a different place.

Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman

I would love to see something exploring the connection between the Marquis and Hunter - they've both been around London Below for a while; how did they meet each other? Did the Marquis hire Hunter for a job pre-canon? Do they kick arse in their own ways as a team - or are there many shenanigans involved (you know I love shenanigans!)

Pride - 2014

I have a particular weakness for the found family trope, so I would love something along those lines - maybe with Gethin/Jonathan meeting Steph for the first time? Feel free to chuck in as many of the others as you’d like (or none of them, it’s entirely up to you!) but these three are my favourites.

Steph’s first Christmas away from home (‘tis the season, after all!) What about navigating the social scene? Heartbreaks and comfort? Yes, please!

While this is my request and sign-up for Yuletide this year, they're just thoughts and I want to stress that it’s also your Yuletide sign-up - I just want you to have fun. I hope you’ll be able to find something you like to write out of the above, and I hope you can relax and just enjoy the challenge. Thank you in advance, and I’ll see you after the 25th December!
