Snow? It's a bit late in the season for snow in the DC metro. I can see snow from the office window here, though it is a few miles away at the top of a mountain. However I would wager that snowballs are not created in nature without human intervention. If one were to pack a snowball and start it down a slope, it may self-accumulate. Basically a Katamari effect.

Writing is good - go for it.
