Should've let Mom get a beagle. They can be trained to hunt bugs.

Ew.....

I am honestly impressed when my cat catches a fly mid-air. It's like magic! I tell him he's a mighty hunter and give him some catnip while the dog just looks on confused.

It must be the day for bugs. There was a gigantic grasshopper in my kitchen an hour ago. I live in the city and have NO idea how/when it got in. I shooed him out the front door and slammed it close before he could jump back in.

Jazz wasn't even trying that hard, tbh. She was just sitting on the futon, waiting for it to fly by so she could swat it.

Every so often, we get a giant grasshoppery/locust thing, too. Sometimes they're even a pretty purple-y color.

HAH! I am just picturing all that in my head.

Damn roaches. I bet the mantis smelled the spray and was about to karate chop a bitch!

Our house is next to an alley, so we have a really bright light that comes on at night in our backyard (it's a pain in the ass for those of us that have yard-facing windows...), and all the bugs are very attracted to it. So the mantis was just chillin' underneath, basically having a smorgasbord. It probably thought we were competition for all that delicious food.

That funky side-to-side thorax dance, though. We'll all be doing it soon.

haha, it wasn't pressing business.

years ago, we had some rats in our garage, and i looked out the window in the middle of the night, and i SAW ONE running right past our sleeping dalmatian's nose!!!! USELESS.
