My sister is a smoker, and, really, the only advantage to this is that at any given moment, she is carrying a lighter on her person.

I recently purchased a nice candle that has a faint orangey, grassy smell. I've taken to demanding imperiously whenever she's in the room, "Turn my candle on!"

When she's ready to quit there is a book my husband and I as well as several friends read and quit immediately afterwards. It's called Easy Way To Stop Smoking by Allen Carr. Not sure how it works but when you're done reading, you're done smoking. This is our 5th year after reading/stopping.
