Here is some context on what is going on. The university is starting a new program for incoming freshmen which will be phased in the next year or two. It is similar in scope to the teniwe, ten-away, whatever program though it has been generalized enough to be applicable to most of the freshmen class. It's like tenaway, but you'll be in the same section of GER's as people on your floor. Good in theory, but I shudder to think of the drama!

Yes it's going to be ineresting. They are also proposing that the freshment take some basic proficiency courses which will not count toward their major because they won't be classes per say. One or more such programs some in the IT department would like to have would involve scs actually providing the training. This should be wonderful fun. *grabs a stick*

It was from the all hall BBQ at the beginning of last year.

ooh! Ya'll will have fun with that one. And I can certainly see the desire for incoming froshies to want to spend their precious out-of-class party time with "cool" and "tech-savy" instructors, to better prepare them for the "technical rigor" of being college students...
