[Knock knock.

The kid has managed to make a fairly decent pirate costume, finding enough ratty old clothing. Instead of a traditional eye patch, he seems to have gone with the idea of tying a piece of scrap clothing across one of his eyes, which he seems to think was genius. You'd also think he was supposed to be some weird pirate zombie with the odd, light blue coloration to his skin.]

[She opens up the door.]

Ah...you're a pirate, right?

Yep.

Trick or treat!

[He feels stupid, kind of, doing this. He's supposed to be an older kid beyond this crap. But then again? Free candy. And that's awesome.]

[When he speaks she recognizes the voice instantly. She takes a handful from the bowl she has and puts it into his basket.]

Having a fun day, Pokey?

[Ding-dong!

A large, wolf-like white dog stands at the door; where her collar would be is instead a ring of giant pink petals. She's a flower!

She glances at the sign, then barks three times in quick succession. Trick or treat!]

[Opening the door and.

...Is that a dog trick or treating, or just a really good costume.]

Ah hello. You have a very nice costume on.

[It's actually a god trick-or-treating. Things are complicated.

She lolls her tongue out in appreciation at the compliment, then looks up expectantly. She was promised candy.]

[...It really is a dog isn't it.

...Fine. Whatever.]

Hm...I see. [She takes a handful of candy and throws it into Ammy's basket.]

[There's another wolf at the door! But not dressed up, because being a wolf is Aisling's costume. But she does have a bucket in her mouth with a sign taped to it saying "TRIK OR TREEET", since she can't speak in this form.]

[Opening the door and...more wolves. Geez you crazy kids.]

Trik or...Ah. [Be lucky she isn't an English teacher at the school young missy.] What a nice costume you have. [Taking a handful and putting it into the bucket.]

[Yeah, she made that sign herself. She still isn't that good at reading or writing.

She thumps her tail happily when the candy goes into the bucket.]

[She giggles. How adorable.]

You have a good day today. And don't scare the neighbors.

Until midnight, you say?

Yes, that's correct Doctor. Even if I prefer to sleep I know some people prefer trick or treating at night.

Well try not to keep them out too late. Children need their sleep after all. Especially with all of this sugar about.

Children will be children, especially on Halloween. I hope they won't be out so late without supervision, but I've went trick or treating with my daughter before and I find it ends rather late sometimes.
