[No dramatic introduction or anything here, just the feed clicking on with Issun and his really unimpressed face appearing on it.]

So, what the heck is this "ice cream" stuff I hear everybody makin' a fuss about, and what's so great about it?

[He is bored out of his skull and tired of wracking his brain over other important issues. Provide a ( Read more... )

I want some!

[And with this green dog, there is a crab. Sitting on his head.]

Good for you! But tellin' me ya want it ain't all that helpful to either of us when I don't even know what it is.

[And he won't even recognize that GIR's in costume, unfamiliar with zippers as he is. It's... it's still not normal for dogs to be green though, right?]

[Wait. Someone who doesn't know what ice cream is? BLASPHEMY.]

It's a frozen dairy treat normally enjoyed during the summer. But... well, most from my world like eating it all year long!

It's... frozen milk? [Wow, (unsure) does not even begin to describe how he feels about that.] How did anybody ever manage to make that taste good?

It's because cream and ice are just the base. The trick is adding in the other ingredients like sugars and fruit!

I dunno, it still sounds kinda gross to me! Are ya sure your world didn't just develop weird tastes or anything?

I haven't heard of it until now.

You either, huh? I'd be pretty surprised to see ya eatin' anything with the word "ice" in its name actually, considerin' where ya usually live.

Hm. It's much hotter here, it may be comfortable to eat something colder.

You'd probably be less warm if ya wore more of those clothes that half-baked prophet got ya.

[No, that's never going to stop being funny.]

[Disney? The heck is that supposed to be?

Anyway, Issun will be enjoying the "view" on the screen, and not even getting angry at her snippy attitude like he usually would.]

I guess that makes sense if it's got "cream" in the name. Makin' it might require technology my world don't have yet; I'm startin' to learn that Nippon's kinda backwater compared to most everywhere else.

Huh, that doesn't sound too hard. I dunno if we've got anything to freeze it in though, Vatheon is kinda lacking in ice-capped mountains.

[Another unfortunate who hadn't heard of this desert item! Ever since she discovered it and its delicious qualities, she's been encouraging others to try it.]

I'm not actually sure of the process involved in making it. Through some process involving frozen dairy and other ingredients a very cold cream is made. It is delicious, but very difficult to describe if you've never had it.

Finally, a straight answer! Not sure if I believe ya on the "delicious" part, your description sounds pretty bland to me.

Well, sometimes it's a very simple. It depends on what they add to it. Some of them resemble the flavors of ripened seed pods, especially juicy ones. Others have various sweetened swirls through them.
