I - [action, morning, 1125 Taylor]

[It was very, very odd. What does waking up feel like to a person who thought they were dead? They'd think it was some sort of afterlife, right? In Mion's case, yes. Color her the most confused when she opened her eyes to see sunlight.

Sunlight, no. The last time she'd closed her eyes, it had been the dead of night ( Read more... )

It's kind of a long story. But. I think I got shot in the head, or something.

[Marisa does stumble down, yawning and rubbing the sleep from her eye at the racket. She's not used to anyone being that loud, so she just blinks at the green-haired girl that she didn't recognize.

And then Marisa sits at the table and pillows her head in her arms. A moment later and she starts snoring. It was too early in the morning apparently.]

Hey.

[Mild twitch, prodding Marisa's arm with the empty coffee mug in her hand.]

You want coffee?

[The snoring is disrupted and one gold eye cracks open.]

Tea...

This joint has tea? [She seems genuinely surprised.]

[ Since customers don't usually come around her cosplay cafe until around 3, there wasn't much to do until classes at the elementary and high school were over. Taiwan often used this time as her break. She thought of coming over to the high school and meet her friends there today, so here she was, wondering if there was anyone free or skipping class that she could talk to. Being considered an adult in this town gets pretty lonely. ]

Ooh!

[ She spins around. ]

Who was that? I'm telling on you!

[She just snickers.]

You! What's your name?

You should introduce yourself before asking for other people's names.

[brb springing up from her desk melodramatically] But I'm not the important one here!

[Sup, Mion. This music teacher... doesn't seem much older than you! And doesn't seem too intent on actually teaching, to be perfectly honest. She just leaves the kids to their own devices, not really caring if they're doing music-related things or not.

And what about her? She's currently strumming out tunes on a bass that looks suspiciously like an axe. Actually, scratch that. It looks exactly like an axe. Razor-sharp blades and all.]

... What, was that supposed to annoy me or something? C'mon, that's like something one of the drone kids would do. Totally lame.

I actually wasn't aiming for you.

buryinmysound December 6 2011, 19:44:38 UTC
Really? And what exactly were you aiming for?

[She points behind Marceline. On the board behind her is a really, really badly drawn red target on a piece of paper. It has an equally bad caricature of Marceline herself on it.]

Hinami-whaza? Also ha. Ha ha ha. Yeah, good luck with this place with that line of thinking, kid.

Hinamizawa, buddy. And what do you mean?

Reply

fist_of_flames December 6 2011, 22:23:12 UTC
Yeah, sure. That thing. And what I mean is exactly what I mean. Didn't anybody give you the run down about this place already yet? Because man... that's the most roundabout way of being optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. "So uh... yeah. Thought I died. Guess not. Anybody from home here?"

envyspites December 6 2011, 23:00:44 UTC
Run down? If you mean the basics on how this place works, yeah.

What else was I supposed to ask?
