Why I don't use Windows.

A lot of people I meet, even very computer-savvy people (you might even say particularly these sort of people), often seem to be mildly amused when I explain to them that I don't use Windows at all. The only time I would use windows is when I need to use developer applications for my iDEN phone to upload applications and such to it since there is absolutely no support on any other platform.

But that's pretty much it.

I use and love Windows because, believe it or not, it's one of the most stable OS around. PC World reported that Windows had about half as much critical flaws over the year 2005 than the Mac OS.

If any other system was just close to being as popular as Windows, they would suffer tremendously with the targeted attacks. Windows has endured and is enduring extremely well. I also read in-depth reports on Vista, I think it'll be very good when it comes to security and reliability.

I love Windows software to do all the things you listed above from listening to music to surfing the web.
