Ah, but would I want random swathes of it adorning my own creation? I beleive book folding might prove to be the better use for those.
There are often certain 'popular' books that everyone bought (if not read) which you can find a useful glut of. When we were repairing this house prior to moving in, I found a battered copy of Shogun amongst a large bundle of books we picked up - it provided fire lighter paper for quite some time, as I recall :D
You got a sucking in of breath with the title and an audible 'Ack!' out of me. 😂
I know what you mean about pretty projects that use things like that, and still the process usually makes me wince. (Books! Eek!) Any chance of a couple of pics when you're done? I'd love to see your work. (I tried something like that once and ended up having to print out the page I'd wanted to use and used tea to age it. Complete fail and *all* wibble on the dismantling front...)
Printing pages: I have to admit that some people do that, and having gone through the little Polish book, I think I will be scanning some of the pages - they are mostly black and white on naturally aged paper, and only half of them are of any real appeal to me (it is some kind of history book, as far as I can make out, so lots of grizzled, bellicose old men, a few ecclesiasticals and two, possibly three, women, but there are some interesting people and nice horses, plus a few woodcut types in naive/folk art style in a bold black and red) but I think I'd like to keep the originals in a folder. The book is missing both covers and an unknown number of pages, so I'm considering its dismantalling a bit of an entry into book destruction.
If I het anywhere/anything worth viewing, I'll do it :)
