This is the weirdest experience I've ever had

Sitting at home, waiting for the flood waters to rise again. We're ok, we're fine. No power last night and the garage is a mess (I'm trying not to mentally inventory everything we had stored in there, better just to wait until we can actually go through it all). But no water made it through our front door.

I hadn't even heard of the floods before I read your entry. It seems very strange to have a flood you can almost predict, depending on tides, but I guess it does make sense. I just never thought of it before.
