I'll never truly believe I'm grown up, even if I do buy a house someday. Sometimes I'm amazed they let me leave home unsupervised....

I still can't believe they let us get married.

We've moved further down river (down estuary) and are now living on a 90s housing development called Victoria Dock (built on the old dock of the same name). So we're still near the water (in fact if we squint and the trees aren't in leaf, we'll just be able to see it) but it's now a purely residential area, whereas the Marina was still a working dock, marina and had quite a few businesses too.

The house is lovely. Three bed upstairs, large kitchen, large living room and conservatory downstairs (we're using the latter as our dining room). Compact garden, but that's big enough for us. The garage is too small to fit a car in (seriously) so we've converted the back into a utility room and pantry.

When there are a few fewer cardboard boxes around I hope to take some pictures.

Hey, nice pad! Congratulations!

But isn't it a bit early to put the Christmas tree up? :-P

Thanks, we love it. (Some of the houses on the dock are on the ugly side, but mostly it's been very attractively built and I think we got one of the better ones.)

The Christmas tree was planted out one year by the previous owners. We'll keep it for now, don't know about long term. (Technically we aren't allowed to remove trees, that's one of the stipulations made when buying the place, but I don't think it covers old Christmas trees...)
