I know this will sound trivial, but do you have a dog? What if you had a dog that needed to be walked a mile every day? Wouldn't four laps around the track and 45 minutes alone with Roveaur be beneficial for so many things that ail you? Just thinking out loud.

Actually, Ed and I have taken our two dogs for a walk three days in a row now. It's a start.

And it's not trivial. I clearly understand the need for exercise.

The issue seems to be that my intellectual understanding is simply not impacting my habits.

Good boundaries help both ourselves and others. I'm glad you are noticing and taking steps. And if you revert once, notice it, shake it off and start again.

Come spring, I will be looking to add a many-mile walk a few times a month. Likely a weekend thing. I can check in with you if you want to join me (once I find such a distance trail localish. I had been whittling away WO&D in Virginia and completed over 20miles of it in one summer, just walking.
