agreed, completely. this is only the third one of his i've read, but i've loved them all.

after this, i'll need new recs... any other authors who can do no wrong in your book?

i'm pretty picky when it comes to contemporary authors so the only ones i'd really throw in that group are russell banks and neil gaiman (michael chabon was kicked out of the club after the atrocity also known as gentleman of the road).
