At 11:45pm last night, Evan arrived home with a "present". A birthday present he bought for himself. He paid $500 for this gift to himself. He bought it on a whim. He thought it would be fun.

Cute, very cute. But you might want to warn him that pups are as much work as they are fun, for a while at least:-).

I explained quite quickly that a puppy is like having an infant. His response was, "But I'm gonna take care of her".
He sounded exactly like he did when he was six!

Trust me, at midnight I asked ALL the questions I could think of?
Who's going to walk her.
Who's gonna feed her?
Who's gonna pay to take her to the vet?
Where's she gonna sleep? etc. etc. etc.

Then I asked the million dollar question: How old before you can spay her? His response was, "Spay? What do you mean?"
Yeah....lot's of thought went into this one.

No, she's still there.
Based on the $$ spent yesterday for a doggie crate, toys, treats etc. I think she's staying.
There was also a "Puppy kindegarten" schedule on the table so that's a step in the right direction.
