YES IT IS. Back when I made it I was all look I made a thing and the background is a colour and there are no boxes! I MUST BE GROWING AS A HUMAN.

Hmmm, maybe. The thing about making a layout like that for myself is that (apart from catering to my every whim), I can control the content in this journal so I don't have to worry about messing the layout up. When making layouts for other people I never know what they're going to put in their journals, and so they have to be a bit more general, more flexible, and more easy to change.
