I think that you've mistaken the accouterments of patriotism for the thing itself. Either that, or you're openly endorsing some form of nationalism. Although the terms are essentially synonyms, I use them in their current light; i.e. the distinction between thinking support of one's country and the ideals that it was formed on and (potentially, dependent on interpretation) currently represents versus the blind support of the most exclusionary terms of national membership in the hopes of preserving something that may or may not have existed before.
Also, deduction of points for a lack of originality. As far as discourse on the current nomination race, you're currently on par with the people that the Daily Show lampooned in W. Virginia.
