As some of you know, i went to LA for a week. It was a trip of firsts for me, cause i don't usually go places. It was my first time on a plane and going somewhere by myself that was a really long far away from home. I had a good time, it rained most of the time i was there, but it was still good.
I didn't take that many pictures, because some of the time it didn't occur to me to do so, but here are the pictures in order of events of the trip.
Day 1 (Sunday):
I flew Virgin America, and my flight left at like 9:30am so i landed in LAX at around 11am. The boy showed up and got me and we talked and it was nice to see him again. I wasn't as tired as i thought i would be, so i didn't go to sleep. We had dinner at this place which was good, but nothing special, but still tasty. He got tickets for us to see Hal Sparks that night, which was awesome for him to do, since he knows how much i like him.
Hal was *very* funny, he had this really great bit about Michael Jackson that had me dying. After that we went to the lobby to meet Hal, who was *very* nice and he REMEMBERED ME!!!! Like i walk up to him and he's like "Oh, Hi! Nice to see you again!" which blew my mind. We talked for a bit cause there was a line of people, and he signed my copy of his DVD
Charmageddon he didn't remember my name (which i didn't expect him to, he meets fans all the time) and asked how to spell it. I told him i was going to be at his DC show ( which is next week) and he talked about how some of the material was going to be different so it wouldn't be the same show. We said good bye and i proceeded to FLIP THE FUCK OUT at the fact that he remembered me and yeah, it was good.
The boy was covering the flash, so i had to do some photoshopping to make it appear lighter, cause they were dark. HAL SPARKS!!! He's awesome and nice and just a groovy guy.
Day 2 (Monday):
The boy had class so i decided to look for a grocery store and see the neighborhood in which i would be staying for the next six days. I got hopelessly lost, if you know me, that's no surprise, so i ended up walking around for like an hour, and i saw some cool things and some cool places.
I just thought this was kinda awesome...it was the sign for a Cadillac dealership, and it was huge and it would light up at night.
This house reminded me of Aunt's Vivian and Lilly's from Pushing Daises.
I found this really cool frozen yogurt place that look cool (and ended up being delicious...
Yogurtland. They had *A LOT* of flavors.) Later that night, the boy and i went out to dinner at this *AWESOME* burger place called
Umami Burgers, it was *so* tasty. Then we walked around for a bit, just so i could look around. We walked along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was cool, if not a little depressing, i didn't get any pictures of it, but here is some...well 2, 2 pictures i took.
The name of this place made us laugh. Big Wangs. That's all i'm saying.
I had to. It was night, but you could see the sign, which is all that matters. Cause it's the fucking CAPITOL RECORDS building.
Day 3 (Tuesday):
The boy had a massive amount of work due and had to make a presentation. So here are the gratuitous girlfriend pictures of the boy getting ready, because i thought he looked good in a suit.
Day 4 ( Wednesday):
We didn't do much, he had class and we stayed in and i made dinner and we watched SVU, cause the boy is awesome and humored me.
Day 5 (Thrusday):
The boy had class, per the usual. But for dinner he decided to take me out of my confront zone a little bit and we went to Korean BBQ, which was good, it was actually tasty and he was surprised that i didn't walk out and say "No". But it was good, a lot of pork, but other than that, good. Then we went back and watched Grey's Anatomy, which the boy was very understanding about...but at the end of it, all he could say was "They are terrible doctors" and i lol'd, cause really, they are.
Day 6 (Friday):
The boy didn't have class on Friday, so we went to the beach, which was nice. We walked up and down the boardwalk and the pier. I'd never been on a boardwalk or a pier before, and it's nice. And it made me think of
blood_starz
And walking along the boardwalk, we found a little shop that sparked the boy's interests
The array of BONGS! Like, it was just filled with BONGS! BONGS and pipes. Like, it was amazing.
this was the guy that sold the boy his bong, i thought he was cute, so i took a picture so the girls on my friends list could have some eye candy.
And mind you, this dude was STONED OFF HIS ASS. So stoned off his ass to the point where he sold this bong
Which is valued at like $380 to the boy for $250...yeah, he was that HIGH. It's a frozen-core bong w/ automatic ash disposal, which according to the boy and
reservoir is a really good way to smoke if you're going to, it's like a cooler smoke or something. Anyway, it's cool...and has Popeyes etched into the tube and the base. And the boy had to use it as soon as he got it, which he did. We continued to walk along the boardwalk and saw this
Which made us both smile.
And i saw this and wanted to get it for
reservoir but it was like $280...which i didn't have...sorry
reservoir
I showed the boy QI which he liked, which made me happy :)
Day 6 (Saturday):
This was my last day and night in LA. The boy wanted to make it kinda nice, since i was leaving. So we went out to breakfast and then started our day of him showing me WeHo (West Hollywood) and stuff. Then we went back to his and lounged for a little bit before going out to dinner. We wanted to go to the cheesecake factory, but when we got there, it was *SUPER* crowded and both of us were on the verge of annoyance, and decided to go somewhere else. The place he choose was called La Piazza which was in the shopping area called
The Grove, which if you don't make at least $100k a year, you feel poor walking into that place. It's pretty much where the rich people shop and there is a trolly that run through it, it isn't even that big. But i saw this store and it made me think of
reservoir
After dinner we had tickets to go to the SModcastle, which was *AWESOME* and we got to see Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes record
"Jay and Silent Bob Get old" which is funny and really great to see.
While waiting in line....
WE FUCKING MEET JASON MEWES!!!! Who was really nice and funny in and out of the podcast.
After it was done, the boy and I waited for Kevin to come out with like 4 other pairs and as time went one, they all left, and it was only me and the boy left. And we knew Kevin didn't leave cause I noticed his car ( no, I wasn't stalking, but Kevin's car had dead give away signs that it was his) and um, maybe, kinda sorta...
FUCKING MEET KEVIN SMITH!!!
He was awesome and nice. He talked to us for a good 10 mins and i didn't fangirl, i kept it together. It was awesome. It was a great ending to an awesome week.
Day 7 (Sunday):
:-(. I had to leave this day. Which was sad, we grabbed breakfast and talked and just tried to spend time together before i had to get on a plane and he dropped me off cause he couldn't go with me and we said goodbye and it was sad and i missed him pretty much as soon as he drove away. :-(
But anyway, that was my trip i had * A LOT* of fun and i hope to do it again.
That's all for now. See you on the flip side.
