I always think that they should have milked Kanna's character for all it was worth. More gratuitous screentime! More development! Fangirl love would have made ratings would have soooooar xd

I found Kanna's character a lot more interesting than Akizuki's. He has this conflict going on, what with being mixed heritage and all. They never really gave us much about Akizuki's background, all he did was prance around looking cool and going "....."

I wasn't really devastated about Kanna's death, mostly I just had this feeling of "what? they didn't just do THAT?" when I watched the episode. >_>

Hahaha. Akidzuki is my favourite character actually. I think Kanna comes in as second - the mother complex just didn't really work for me.

I think I had the 'what...' reaction throughout most of the last two or three episode as well. I actually don't think I was that surprised by his death either - what really made go o___o headdesk was when Kanna knelt and kissed Kakunojou's feet. Yeeah.

Wow. Am I late to the part or what? Still, I'm so glad I was able to read this. I really liked it :)

I was hoping that Kanna would survive the war, perhaps maybe stick around with the Yuuyama troupe, and we'd get a chance to learn more about him. But then I remember that like with everyone else, he was just another pawn in Sou's bloody play. His story was so sad. To have no ties to anyone and not have any direction... it must've been lonely. Add to that the mother and abandonment issues he had, it's a wonder he lasted so long.

Great writing. His confusion is apparent along with the underlying desperation, and damn, but I really like the first paragraph.
