Whoa. Been absent quite a long time again, most of that time swallowed up by work, but on the tail end my dad has been in the hospital much too long with complications after what should have been a simple operation. He's pretty much recovered from that, though, and should be out next week.

I'll leave the rest of the story to my pictures:

I built two of these antennas in August, and it took me a month to honor friends' requests for a picture. Best TV antenna I've ever used.

Labor Day saw me strolling around the Boneyard flood control works with a tripod and long exposures.

The rest of my family should have been in this picture, but I only managed to snag John.

Joey is getting big.

John likes playing around in last year's Halloween costume; not only does it still fit, it's gained an accessory.

For my birthday I got a Wacom Intuos4 graphics tablet, which sees its primary use in images made from multiple exposures. It gives far finer control than my old buddy Enfuse ever did.

I want to do this one again from the top of a 10-foot ladder. Dynamic range is aided by the baseball field lights out of frame camera left.

September 30 brought a vivid sunset and interesting shapes in the clouds.

Grandma got a nice smile out of a little boy in his Sunday best.

Joey gets even bigger.

Brought the Wacom with me when visiting my parents so I could get a sharp tree AND a sharp moon.

And, last but not least, a fleeting sundog captured earlier this wewek.
