Hope you don't mind that I've added you, Adam. I responded to your post on introverts and when you put "Namaste" at the end of the entry, it intrigued me to come see your personal LJ. I think we have some things in common besides being introverted, so hello!
It's indeed a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to conversing with you about related subject matters concerning introverts and introspection. The reason, if you're wondering, why I end my entry with "Namaste"- is that in Hindu philosophy - the word literally means "God in me honors God in you. I've always felt it was a perfect greeting. Well met my friend.
I've been searching all night for something to ease my stomach pain... and your post of the poem "Invitation" moved me to tears.. at least the beginning of tears anyway long overdue. I had read it before... but somehow it REALLY resonates with me tonite. Especially the phrase about not "hiding it or fixing it or ..."
I am a survivor of psychic gang rape. And I've just started a google group support group to help others who've gone through that horrendous ordeal. and help myself in the process. If you'd like to be part of the group, pls let me know. I'm not a psychiatrist or a psychologist... merely someone who knows firsthand what it's like to be psychically raped.

I am very moved and overjoyed that you were so affected by my poem. In truth, what inspired me to write it was the fact that I haven't yet met a man that possesses any of those mental/emotional qualities of which I list in the poem. So, one night, I thought I might write a list of the inward virtues I hope to find in a man.
In any event, permit me to express how deeply sorry I am that you have been a victim of psychic attack. If you would be interested in learning more about psychic rape or violation, as well as how to defend yourself against it - I recommend a very informative book entitled "Psychic Self-Defense" by Dion Fortune.
