So yesterday in my potential itinerary for Magical Mystery Tour 2010, I mentioned possibly going to Florida with my bff Kim with the purpose of watching hockey. The Rangers play the Lightning on April 3rd and the Panthers on the 4th and Kim noticed this and thought it would a completely insane yet appropriate epic road trip. LMAO. I live in Tampa and so I'm used to the ridiculously cheap tickets and I didn't realize it was different elsewhere so its weird to hear someone freak over it. But now I feel all lucky. lol

I went to the Avalanche @ lightning game earlier this year and got $6 tickets to the 300s section but the guards there really don't care about where you sit (as long as your wearing a lightning jersey), so I just walked down to the glass and watched the whole game from there. So essentially I got $6 glass tickets. It was a good night.

You should feel lucky! :P I've paid between $50-80 to sit in the 300s (which are the upper-middle section. For some reason Madison Square Garden has like 78890098 little sections and goes up to the 400s). Sometimes I can move up a little, but it's more like a few rows. It's so insane here and sometimes I forget that not everyone has to spend their entire life savings to attend a sporting event.

Thats crazy! I spent like 50 a ticket to get seats in the 100's (the first section) for the last time the rangers came to Tampa. I would never be able to spend that much just to get in the 300s.(the nose bleed seats)

If you come down for sure then let me know an I'll tell you all the tricks of the Forum lol

the preseason games are even more ridiculous. i saw glass seats for $25 bucks. i personally went with the $6 buck tickets 2 rows behind the penalty box and had a lot of fun XD

That's amazing. You guys are crazy lucky down there and I'm very jealous!

Although to be honest, I did once sit 5 rows behind the goal at a Rangers game for free, but I guess someone at some point had to pay the $1000+ per ticket...
