Prejudices and Stereotypes

Ok, I'm just sick of this now. Can anyone tell me what is so wrong with listening or being interested in something that is not of the same culture as yourself. I really don't know if this applies to anyone else but it certainly applies to me. I'm a African-American teenage girl and I am very interested in Asian things(music, t.v., language, people ( Read more... )

Stereotypes suck.

I've reached the stage where I honestly don't care what people think about me anymore, so I proudly decree that I like Japanese boybands, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, &c.

I wish people didn't have to care.

That really is gay. :\ I'm sorry you have to go through that. but anyway. x_x

I saw that you joined the NC-17 community, I was wondering if you could put a link in your LJ? There are some banners on the info page, ofcourse if you don't like them you could make your own and just put NC-17 on it. But there should be more to choose from in the next few days.

.Suku.

My motto..."Live For Yourself First". Always rings true. Why, because if you don't then all you're doing is living by other's standards and I'm a major ass against that. I applaud you for being unique in your way and please don't stop your interests because some Fart-tard, ignorant mouth doesn't think you're black enough or white enough or yellow enough or maybe heck you're just not green enough :) I'm asian but my origin is such a minor group that about 70 percent of the world's population don't know what we are. They always classify us as chinese or else but we're none of the known races. Anyhow, I listen to all kinds of language artists, jpop, kpop, india, russian...I get plenty of people mocking me for listening to something I can't understand so in a sense I can relate to how you feel. As far as I'm concern, your skin defines what your background is but it doesn't define who you are, only you can answer to that. Music is music in all language, so as long as it sounds good to my ear and it isn't packed with offensive terrorism ( ... )

thank you, that is the same way that I feel, it doesn't matter about your skin, all that matters is yourself thoughts and ideas, and no one should judge you on that because it's who you are not what you are
