I think the word you're looking for is 'rude' :)

Wow.

I'm not in HP fandom, which is good, because I'd never beta for this person after she posted that.

Oh, I think I've read that fic (Laby/HP crossover, obv?) and it wasn't very good anyway. If that's the one I'm thinking of. Poor beta, spending time trying to improve that fic and then getting bashed.

I will neither confirm nor deny. I will say though that I feel badly for the beta!

Some people are so wonderful to betas- I've had to drop out of beta'ing one bigbang fic 'coz of RL reasons, and not being able to give it my full attention and all, but the author was so sweet and understanding and said she'd give me credit when it gets posted because of the work I did on the first part of the fic. Which, totally wasn't expecting that and it was a lovely gesture on her part. ^_^

And then you get other authors who just... *shakes head* Betas give up their free time to do something without reward, like, how can you even be that way to one? >:[

Plus, betaing is *hard*. Seriously, seriously hard. I don't do it because I'm not particularly good at it (plus it takes me longer to beta a story than to write one), so I'm in awe of good betas. To bash one publicly isn't just rude, it's also belittling a group of people with a very special (and often underrated) skill set. Grr.

I hope their beta never worked with them again, to be honest. That's beyond rude.
