That was such a cute and great story. I really liked the way you told it.
I loved how smart Jared was, and saw what Jensen himself didn't want to see. And that you didn't make Jensen "save" Jared, but that he did it himself. (and I guess Jensen had some "saving" to do of his own really...)
Thanks, I'm so glad you liked it. I'm not big on people being "saved" so much as finding a reason to save themselves, and in this one they both really needed some saving, you're right.
I totally agree. A lot of stories, though, shows one of them "saving" the other, and it's nice to finally see someone who shares my POV on this...hehe! ;)
yeah, I have a slightly different take on H/C than some, but hey, a lot of people seem to like those other fics. Not my style but I have been known to write slightly more clearcut H/C most of it's on my masterlist. [shrug]
Weirdest thing. Just tried to comment & it tagged it 'anonymous' & made me jump the hoops. Ptth. . . . Wow. I'm tired & feeling a little out of sorts; that's where I'm pinning my near-sniffling & heavy weight from reading ;) I loved it. It wasn't shiny or pretty & wasn't wrapped up in the span of a week--those two boys *suffered* in their own ways & I like how you didn't have Jensen Save The Day. You actually made him walk away.
Anyway, it was heavy, but I'm glad I had a chance to read it. Thanks.
I got stuck halfway through this fic and that's when I realized that Jensen HAD to walk away, that these two men, in their current state could not be together.
I'm glad you liked it. I know it's not the typical J2 romance, but they end up better for the time it takes them to pull themselves together, you know?
Loved it. Jensen seemed so sad and frustered with his job and Jared cam around at a time he needed someone. They needed each other and in the end they got that. Jensen did the right thing in leaving so he could do what he wanted and maybe Jared would sort things out and he did. Brilliant.
Yeah, Jensen was hitting a wall at work, burning out and their relationship forced them both to really look at their choices and what options were closed off to them because of those choices and in the end, they saved themselves so they could be together.
This is lovely , it had a hard realistic edge. That they both had to walk away and make changes for themselves before they could make it work together was angsty in a good way.
