Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Spam spam spam. I went to this really neat exhibition about India today, called 'Tea and Tigers'. It had a ton of stuff on the East India Trading Company, a bunch of fabulous Indian art, and those colouring-in sheets with felt tip pens that are supposed to be for kids but are clearly irresistable to the weak-minded.

Shit, Pippa. I was ogling and researching and loving on precisely Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt when I took art in IB. If I can find my book, I could probably scan my pages to PROVE it.

(This is especially interesting, considering I didn't research that many artists in IB. Those two plus Aubrey Beardsley, Michael Zulli, Dave McKean and Tetsuya Nomura were the only ones, I believe.)

You know, for two people who've never met, does get a little eerie how close our tastes run...there must be some link. Maybe playing Monkey Island at a young age gives you an ingrained appreciation for the beauty of flatness in art.

Actually, there might be something to that, when I think about it...
