That's really awesome/fairly adorable. My mom teaches 7th grade English, maybe I should buy her a copy of The Jungle for her classroom.

Haha, be careful. I think it depends on the kid. My friend had to read The Jungle in class in 7th grade and ended up a vegetarian for 6 years, it freaked her out so much.

The SAME things happened with me and my brother. With Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. I told him about this book, and he read it and enjoyed it. I think it was the first book he'd read in years.

When I was in Italy I told these guys where I was from and their response was, "Ah! Chicago! Bang bang!" and they made little gun movement with their hands.
I was just like, "Yeah, pretty much." (My neighbor got whacked last year so... yeah.
