Very good.

I like the love and hate aspect of Gabriel/Elle. You've done a good job of showing how their different prickly personalities need to line up just right for these two to become a couple.

Elle's experience with Jeremy was well written. Her desire to be popular quickly turns into a desire to be normal without the popularity. I can't mention enough how much well done that was.

Elle keeping Gabriel's coat and then sleeping in it was a very nice ending.

Finally, it was cruel to have them almost kiss and then nothing. Very, cruel in fact.

Please, update this and Lover's Alibi soon.

The only praise I can possibly give is a childish demand for more. The characterization is perfect for their teenage personas. I can see Elle easily drowning the waves of perceived popularity without Gabriel to level her out.
Plus, Gabriel is a lovable asshole, as I can totally see him being, with his underdeveloped hero side and all.
Great writing. Can't wait for more.

I love the voices you guys have for them. They're really spot on. His "saving" of Elle was very Gabriel, very "I need to prove I'm better than these losers." Their little tug of war is just so high school too - like, do I like him, I dunno, maybe, well, no, but, yes...

I dig the dynamic in here, and I'm totally stoked to see where this is going. It's kind of calm (I don't mean that in a bad way, just observing) right now, but I remember thinking that about Lover's Alibi then the bitchslap chapter came and i was like, WHOA.

Basically I'm just excited for your bitchslap chapter. Not that this chapter wasn't most excellent.
