i've never had a hard time with learning. i put zero stock in mensa - not least of all because of cultural bias, the population it's normed on, the entire definition of intelligence, really - but as a preschooler i was, for a given point in time, for a given definition of intelligence, a mensa member

This was super interesting to read! I like thinking about learning and how people learn (and think). I'm basically your opposite -- I'm def a work smart so you don't have to work hard kinda girl haha. Which has definitely been a problem for me multiple times throughout the years. I admire your tenacity in the opposite approach because I struggle with it. But the new girl is lucky to have you to help, regardless of whether everything works out in the next week!
