We tried shooting at the old LA Zoo back in December, but we got thrown out. :( I don't know if the ranger was just on a power trip or what.

I'm pretty sure you're probably not allowed to without paperwork. At least I know Griffith Observatory area and Travel Town require permits for anything involving any sort of posing beyond family pictures. I wouldn't be surprised if that applies to all of Griffith Park.

I think we were probably largely just lucky no one bothered us. Or whoever was around that day wasn't feeling a need to exert his or her authority.
