As mentioned in the Fanime post, I explored Kelly Park in San Jose on Fanime Day 0. It's a little too far I think for walking from the convention center, but it's a pretty short drive.

You were in Monrovia's Canyon Park? lol I dont know how it is my small little town, always ends up appearing useful xD Especially our high school >>
I do wish I had known about this, I'd have love to re-explore the park, haven't been there since Elementry School days.
Woah though, I have to go visit the Getty Museums if it's that gorgeous. It kinda of made me think of the Huntington Library (which surprisingly ISN'T really a Library, but the option is there) as well as the Pasadena's City Hall for various reasons.
Anyways, I'd be interested in exploring places! I would LOVE to just walk around and roam my town aimlessly and see what I would find, back in my younger days that is x3
The gardens of the Getty Musem are more expansive than the Getty Villa. Though overall, the Getty Villa I think is more interesting architecturally. Huntington Library's gardens are bigger than either I think. But I think they're deffinitely worth visiting.
I visited Pasadena again recently. It's city hall makes me sad that my Cendrillion plans won't be happening. Maybe I'll have to see about revisiting that idea. (my favorite version of Cendrillion is Teto/Ted)
I dont know what's so special but it's not unusual to see it in a movie. I know it was used in that one movie that Hilary Duff was in, something "Cinderella" idk the title. And i think "Not another Teen Movie".
Ya the garden's at the Huntington are pretty big, from what I saw. I only went because of a field trip for my Biology course, and by the time we were able to roam the park freely, it was going to close soon, so I really only went to see the Japanese garden which was alright.
If you do revisit ask about the 2ed floor, back when i went, about a year or maybe 2 ago, they wouldn't allow us upstairs i believe, which was a shame :(
Ahh, it probably has filming policies that Hollywood likes, and is within the 30 mile zone.
2nd floor of Pasadena City Hall? That was open. Just the outside parts / stairways - not the offices obviously. The area directly under the dome however... If you remember, ask for the story some day in person. ;)
