People in my generation have been thrust into the mindset that politics are inately corrupt, and this is an inalterable fact. We live in a two party system and each individual must belong to either party. However, the truth is, the two parties are merging together, the Democrates no less in the corporate pocket than the Republicans. The ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, never is the right time. You can't find a candidate who can do everything you want them to. Everyone is different and all want different things. We'd all have to have our own presidents; all 85 billion of us. Then life would be a hell of a lot more chaotic than it already is. For the government to run on a different party; well, that just won't ever happen. EVER. They'd have to abolish the electoral college first.

all these voices of reason... somehow i doubt you will listen.

yes, the democrats are essentially the republicans with a few relatively unimportant differences; yes, both parties are corrupt and not actually trying to improve america; yes, ralph nader won't win. at most any other time in history, a third party candidate is a great idea, but in this election, there is no room for him. george w. bush must be removed from office, or i fear that america is going to be destroyed from within and without. he has done so much to divide us, to weaken us, to make us vulnerable to terrorism, he simply can not be allowed to continue this downward spiral for yet another four years. please don't cast your lot with nader... although he has principles that he stands by, and that's damn admirable, we are going to need every vote we can to get bush out. please, ben. i don't want to have to leave my country before i'm ready.

I’m scared for our future. This election seriously is not what America should be. Why do we have a two party system in the first place? I don't understand, when they teach us from middle school and up, that parties are not in the constitution, that we still have them. It is far more than obvious, from this upcoming election, that the two party system is not beneficial to the peoples needs and puts us in a place with less choice and power in our own government. Why can't America see that both parties are terrible and have become so corrupt? They both just lump all these ideas together and are so black and white. I believe in some things that the democrats do, but not all, surely. I should not have to vote for a lesser evil. I should have a choice to vote for everything I believe in. the two party system crushes our right to vote… a very important right if I might add. Our country should not operate this way. There should be 50 plus candidates to choose from. I should have options.... not Kerry. BUT all we have is Kerry ( ... )

Ralph really wasn't that bad and brought up a bunch of points I thought the mainstream polity ought to take into consideration. If nothing else, the points he makes deserve to be heard because if he doesn't ask those questions, people will, as he said "spend all their time worrying about if John Kerry was injured enough to recieve his purple hearts."

America needs a change? America won't change if enough people vote for Nader, seeing as it will split the liberal vote. A vote for Nader may as well be a vote for Bush. You're not gonna get your change by voting for Nader ( ... )

Do not insult my intelligence.

Can't you people see past one election?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, while expecting change.

You're insane.
