So, the fencing tournament went a lot better than I had anticipated! I had expected to lose all my bouts (as is not unsual for a first tournament) but instead I won two! This was especially exciting because one of the two bouts was a DE bout (direct elimination). Normally, in pool bouts, they go to 5 touches. However, DE bouts are 15 touches.
