I was rejected from NEC.  no doctoral program for me this year.  Another year of research, applications, schmoozing, and scraping for any performance opportunities. 

I got a rejection letter from Princeton today.  Looks like it's NEC in 08 or who knows what in 09.  Not that I neede dadded pressure studying for the entrance exam or anything....

I got rejected from Stanford and Northwestern this weekend.  Bleh.  My previous teacher from NEC now teaches at Northwestern and I'm disappointed I didn't even make it to an interview.  Stanford, well, I didn't reach out to them in any way, so it's not such a surprise.  that leaves two: NEC and Princeton.  I'm really feeling the pressure to do well ( Read more... )

I often dream about bodies of water, either being afloat, partially submerged, or on a bridge over them.  In my own personal storytelling symbolism, water usually signifies a state of uncertainty.  I had recurrent bridge dreams when I graduated high school and floating dreams when I moved to Boston, every night for weeks.

I think I have an abscess in my cheek.  I seem to have bitten the inside of my cheek in a most likely wisdom tooth extraction related move.  Now there is a not-insignificant sore plus a lump just below.  I'm sureslammerkinbabe will join me in a fervent wish for a stoppage to the oral pain.  Looks like another trip to the oral surgeon (or dentist).  Bleh.
