Thanksgiving fiasco 2009
Semi-hubby bought the roasting pan and rack I had requested. Two or 3 days in advance,even. Thanksgiving day as we wrestle the big bird onto the rack, oven all preheated. We find that the handles on the roasting pan make it too wide to fit into the oven.
Epilogue: I improvised with anything metal in the cupboards and the turkey came out very well

No, my gangster turkeys are way too mean. When the flock of 25 or so are in my yard, I won't even go outside. Plus, I love them.
Supermarket turkeys are born to be eaten. Also, what do you picture? Me, plucking feathers in my country-bumpkin kitchen? Girl, I lived in the Bronx. This country life adjustment doesn't come easy. I order lots of take-out!
