Whee! I made it home! Flying from the U.K. to the middle of the Pacific is a 24 hour flight time alone. But since we got stuck in Newark between the earthquake and the hurricane, it took us 24 hours longer than expected. If I'd the money, I would have flown to Japan and then on home.

Nice to know you are still around!
A friend of mine have been diverted from Boston to Charlottesville due to Irene but everything without delay ... if you not consider that she landed in a different state!
Hope you are fully recovered and wherever you are enjoy your fresh papayas (I don't really like pineapple but you can enjoy'em too) XD

Hiyas!Apologies for responding so late. (trying to set up my office and computer, etc.) Yowza, landing in a different state is the pits! (my friend flying back to the UK at the same time ended up in England instead of Scotland).

I don't like yellow pineapple, but I really like white pineapple. They are too delicate to ship, so people usually grow them in their gardens. White pineapples are very sweet and not very acidic, so I love them.

I read your journal whilst you were travelling - so interesting! (but I can't use a standard keyboard, so I couldn't comment on anything!)

Hope you've been enjoing your reading!

Happy you arrived home and settled all your stuff!
I'm very curious about white pineapples I've never heard of it before!
I spent the last few days finishing the fan fic I started in July so I couldn't follow my LJ in a proper way.
By the way I enjoyed my reading and the trip too but from tomorrow it will start all the madness: school and dance lessons for my 5 years old cuty and school piano lessons and soccer training for my 7 years old kid.
I guess I'll try to have few minutes to check on my journal at work during the break ... hopefully
