Oh yes, you are so right! I wish there were more characters like this.
Wow. I think I just noticed a pattern of my own here in your comment about what I've written. Characters who are well-developed, are more than what they appear or who see beyond the superficial are characters I find very appealing. And this is probably one reason I find myself re-reading their stories over and over. Hummm. I never noticed that until you commented here. Thanks!

There IS a novel sequel to Aiso - in the comments at the end of the manga, Yamada sensei says that Aida sensei has written a novel sequel for Sawaragi and Shuuya. Then she mentions that "Hanabira Yuki" will go on sale at the same time that Aiso is being published. I don't know if this is the novel or if the novel we want has a different title. (I have *got* to learn Japanese, haha)
