I am so glad you found those earrings, and I hope they can be fixed. Though if you don't mind my asking what do you mean by high tea?

Oh! High tea is basically a fancy schmancy tea party thing, in which you get tiny ribbon sandwiches and scones and little cakes and that sort of thing. It's really fun! And yummy :D

Glad you found the earrings!

And orchids aren't so tricksy - you just have to remember to keep them lightly watered.

I worry though! Like, the pot they came in has no drainage hole down at the bottom, so I am scared I'll overwater and then the roots will rot. D: I want to re-pot them but I have no idea how to actually do that...

Retracing your steps is ALWAYS the best way to find something. I have NEVER called a place where I thought I left something and had then be like "Oh yeah we found it!" And I'm sure they'll be able to fix your earrings just fine! <3 ( ... )

Sob well the fact is I've taken the earrings to several jewellers, and apparently it'll be a huge pain to repair, since the back of it is yellow gold filigree cast in fancy 3D patterns, and that will require re-casting and re-pouring. Also the gems themselves are set with white gold, not yellow gold, so... ugh. I have a feeling this will have been a very expensive mishap :(

Wow, orchids. So much fuss. Goodness! Australia is very humid naturally so I think on that front it should be fine, but all the root stuff sounds terrifying. I've never repotted anything in my life. And taking my orchid out of its pot on a fortnightly basis sounds really hard, since the root ball has all that moss and stuff stuck to it...? Does that mean I have to replace the moss and so on every fortnight too?
