Oh, I wouldn't - she's too smug! But the timey-wimey stuff is good. And the weeping angels are scary. And the ideas and dreams stuff was cool. And Matt Smith is good. And Amy Pond is... annoying me slightly, to be honest, maybe cos she seems so far to be a bit of a throw-back to the assistant-who-needs-to-be-saved-assistant, even though she's obviously not supposed to be... But yeah - good! *g*

Ah, well, up until this week I was thinking she was just going to be the plucky-gel-who-always-saves-the-day assistant, so I was quite pleased that, while still plucky, she didn't. Though it is a two-parter, so there's always next week. Though I imagine that River will be saving the day, if anyone other than The Doctor does...
It was better because they are taking longer to tell the story. Two parts give a better pace, imho. Still... I don't think I'm intelligent, and I was sitting going, " but you said they had two heads, you are making a big thing about them having two heads. So why are the statues all one-headed?" long before the Dr. and Dr. Song piped up "Why didn't we see it before?" Now if I can see it, the odinary 10 year old would have seen it... or is that the point? 10 year olds are quicker than the Dr.? Marion
c) I was saying the same thing about the one-headed statues. Maybe the point is to allow 10-year-olds to get there before the Doctor. After all, we all like to get there before the hero sometimes...!
Maybe it's the degree of intellect *g* I think you can get away with things like the one-headed statues, if you don't make it over obvious, like in a who-du-its where the murderer is revealed right at the start and then red herrings are thrown at you to confuse the issue, only for the true murderer to be unmasked at the final unveiling to be who you thought it would be at the beginning. Sorry, that was a bit complicated. If the doctor mentioned another race living on the plant... I wonder if it's possible that River Song is really the doctor's daughter? It would explain how she can get away with so much and why he would have taught her to use the controls of the TARDIS. Ah, off to work I go...
