The new BBC Sherlock makes me very very happy.  (There was a moment of doubt in the opening credits, when I realised that Steven Moffat wrote it, and I flashed back to the patchy oddity that was Jekyll, but this was a million times better than that.)  I adore Benedict Cumberbatch with his funny face and his lovely eyes, and Martin Freeman was great ( Read more... )

I have this recorded, but haven't had time to watch it yet (I record everything but the news for later watching - with ITV and Sky it lets me fast forward through the ads, most of which seem to be designed for morons with the IQ of a particularly half-witted peahen (and that's an insult to peahens everywhere).

Avon and Rodney McKay... hmmm... I didn't like either of them... Not sure why I didn't care for Avon, but with McKay it was his act first, think later attitude and never learning (up to the point where I stopped watching) that a pause for thought before acting might just be a good idea.

I enjoyed Sherlock too *G* I loved the three nicotine patches case, and the redressed (from my visit) 221 b Baker St. And that Watson is not a dumb sounding board for Holmes.

As for Miami, I do like a man who's not afraid to take off his shirt...

At the end of the day, having found time to watch, yes, I liked it; loved the nicotine patches!
