*leads Phoenix to the kitchen, supplies in hand* We can do a little experimenting while we're here, just in case you want to try another one later.

Who's Elena?

[sets all the bags down and unloads all the food]

Well, I just met her, but she's a nice girl. Apparently she's setting up a party and was doing a lot of cooking.

*puts the recipe down someplace easily reached and starts to organize the food by which is needed first*

A party? I haven't heard about it. I guess I haven't met enough people yet...

Well, it WAS organized by one person... she probably has to go around and tell people by word of mouth. This place has a lot of people, so it's only normal that she'll miss a few.

[looks for pots and pans and such. what did they need, anyway?]

That's true. Maybe she should have made flyer's?

*looks at the recipe for the first step*

Well, we need a tube pan to butter and flour... *turns to pre-heat the oven*

Hm, that smells good.

It does, doesn't it? I can't wait to try it once you practice your decorating. *goes over to the oven and peers inside without opening the door at first; then finds a toothpick and opens it to stick it inside the cake at its center*

*pulls it out and looks at it* It's done. ^_^ *shows him the clean toothpick*

You can pull it out now, but be careful. It's going to be really hot.

[carefully grabs the edge of the pan, and drags it out. sets it on the table and looks at it proudly - even though he didn't a lot of the making itself]

I think I'll start with the frosting. ♥

*with everlasting patience and much amusement in her voice* You have to wait for it to cool first.

*after a few minutes, she takes out a knife from the dishes she had washed while waiting and jiggles it around the edges of the pan; flips it over onto a rack and hits the bottom until it pops out*
