Cats and Orphans!

I must tell you all about the cats. I don't think that I've mentioned this yet, but the vice-chancellor of USIU is absolutely in love with cats, so she takes in any strays off the streets or that people drop off. Of course, these cats are not fixed, so they breed, and as a result, there must be hundreds of them running around. Some are big, some ( Read more... )

Sorry,I am a little slow and just read all your postings. I Love seeing Nairobi through your eyes. You are so descriptive!! It all sounds awesome. I would love to get pics/postcards. Can't wait to see you with the monkeys!! I'm with you on the cat thing. That would really creep me out! I am really excited about you getting to work at the orphanage. That sounds like a very rewarding opportunity! Thanks for keeping us posted. I really enjoy it.
Love you,

We are fine. Jared finally went back to school on the 16th. It is very icy here today. Treachorous drive in. I just read more of your postings. Not sure I could eat camel...LOL. The orphanage sounds very sad. I'm glad they have you there for a while. It makes me want to sent lots of toys. Maybe we could have some kind of toy drive at my church or something and send toys. Would that be something we could set up? Thanks for sharing with us!!!

LaLa

I am writing from Ottawa Canada. I go here every 2 weeks. Lots of cold and not much snow here. Week after next i am off to Vienna, second time in 6 months.

I am really enjoying your postings. I check every day. The work at the orphanage sounds like a lot of fun. I know a young woman in Bolivia that started an orphanage. She really likes it. If you like I can give you her web site and email address. Your mom already knows her. We met on our last mission trip to Bolivia.

Sing your song clearly, you may be surprised who hears it!

Ottawa to Vienna?! That's so exciting, Ralph! I would love the website of the woman with the orphanage in Bolivia, that's really fantastic. Glad you like the blog; I love hearing about what you're doing, too! Have a safe and wonderful trip. Is it for fun or for work? Maybe a little of both?

Take care!
Tiffany
