Yuletide!
My rational mind knew that I didn't have time to do Yuletide this fall, so -- for the first time in years -- I decided not to sign up. Summer red pepper soup hell yeah.
Yesterday, I made this soup: lots of red bell peppers, onions, garlic, homemade chicken stock, fresh thyme, and more. The smell was reminiscent of a good ratatouille. It was stunningly flavorful served warm, but I packed it off into the fridge ( Read more... ) -

Love is come again
I adore this "Easter carol," which connects the Christian story to the larger cycle of death and rebirth. (I strongly suspect that the poet was influenced by The Golden Bough, though I've yet to see proof.) Happy Easter to those who celebrate it; chag sameach to those celebrating Passover; and a gorgeous spring (or autumn) day to everyone!
