Comment, credit, don't hotlink. All screencaps by me.
Lovely! Don't see many "Brideshead" icons. Not taking any for now (simply because I have far too many icons backed up that I want to use), but I'm putting it in my favourites. I shall credit, of course, whenever I do take one. ^_^
By the way, did you hear they are making a movie version (this was a while ago, they may not be anymore)? I heard they planned to keep all the homosexual aspects of Charles and Sebastian's relationship out of the film. In fact, I heard they were keeping almost all of their relationship in any fashion out. Sadness. I love Sebastian!
The one with Jude Law and Paul Bettany? Yup, heard about it. I hate the idea- this version is perfection, and you shouldn't mess with it. Ever. They want to minimalize the Sebastian/Charles love and focus more on Julia/Charles, plus they've said they're going to eliminate any religious elements. Which is the whole story, really. Ugh.
I'll stop before I go into a much longer rant. ^_^;
Sorry for butting in: I'm not sure if that will ever get made now (much to many people's delight I'm sure - I was kind of curious, but of course it would never match the TV adaptation so they were fighting a losing battle from the start) - a couple of years ago the government handily made it a lot more difficult for British films to get made because it sucks and a lot of films got called off. The guy who was supposed to be directing seems to have lots of other stuff going on and I think it's really unlikely now.
From what I heard the director was pretty irrtated feeling the dreaming spires element but who knows what the film actually would have been like.
