So I opened up the sesa stories this year, clicked on a title that looked interesting, and this was the first line I read:

Lance once slept with a guy with an orange dick.

Oh, popslash. Never change.

For what's now a small fandom, there were a lot of really enjoyable stories this year. Also: superpowers. Many, many superpowers.

I feel I must claim some of the credit for Orange is the Happiest Colour, since it was written for MEEEE. I love it very much.

You're right about the staggering amount of superpower-y stories--SO. MANY. There's gotta be an explanation. Something in the water, maybe?

The other big, recurring theme I noticed was "Brian" (*jazz hands*). Lots of great Brian characterizations this year!

There was a lot of Brian, yes! And a mini-theme of JC being hurt. I started back-to-back stories where he was covered in scars after a car accident and had just survived cancer.

Hey! I take exception to that! I was NOT influenced by Joss Whedon! (...although it's quite possible my recipient would've been happier if I had been. In light of which I respectfully withdraw my 'hey!'. :)
