Apparently my mother has taken up the hobby of commenting on the food, or rather the amount of food, I eat. She has never done this nor do I believe she has ever been in a position to do so. Especially given the circumstances of her rather hefty meal on sunday which consisted of bacon cheeseburger, fries, soda, and an extra order of fries. Plus

you're right, that's completely out of place. especially because you have absolutely no problem at all. my mom says stuff like that sometimes that comes out differently than she means to, or that she regrets after saying it. it hurts and it feels intensely personal, but sometimes moms take their own insecurities or concerns out on their daughters. i'm sorry and i'll give you hugs on monday when i'm home.
