In this curiously convenient place, tracking somebody down again can be as simple as picking a direction and walking in it - or as impossible as looking for that one specific needle in a universe made entirely of needles. It's as much about luck as it is any particular skill, which is not one of James's favourite aspects of the nexus.
Either way, whether by luck or by skill, it doesn't take James all that long to find Treize, and he's just in time for the inelegant landing. Hands in his pockets and making no secret of his presence, James squints at these goings on from a politely judged distance. "Afternoon."

So when James speaks, he turns his head and offers a smile. "Afternoon. Hello, Mr. Bond. I hear you've been gossiping about me."

Everybody should wish for that kind of luck. (James would like that kind of luck to continue holding for him, at least.) He laughs, anyway, strolling a little closer to talk. "I wouldn't go that far."
Enough discussion to raise his interest, when she brought it up, but he's been worrying about other things. "Our mutual acquaintance thought I should hear about her new friend."
