Edward admitted, he felt badly for leaving Moril by himself when they did. Although he seemed to have recovered as well as could be expected regarding Kialan's disappearance, up and leaving him without notice... Half of him had been reluctant to go, but they'd made plans, and he'd put them off for far too long. The brothers woke early, gathered ( Read more... )

Raif was used to waking up in strange terrain, early, although not as used to it as he once had been; months spent sleeping in the same hut without fail would do that.

Al blinked, looking at Duo for a long moment, then managed, ".....Uh huh."

He pulled some bread out of his pack and padded over to where Spot and Ed had been keeping watch. Raif was up already and he nodded to the man when he seemed to be turning back from whatever he'd been doing.

"Brother, eat something," he prompted, gently touching Ed's shoulder. Others would ahve tried a 'good morning', perhaps, but Al knew better keywords to alert his brother to the waking world.

Edward made a sound that was clearly a mix of groggy and irritated. And when he moved to swipe at Al's gently prodding hand, he lifted his head, tipped sideways, and landed on his ribs. "Ow--" he croaked, sitting up. "The hell... Oh shit, I fell asleep?" he asked, even as he reached for the bread in his brother's hand.

He was completely unaware of the rather large imprint his automail had made in the skin of his forehead.
