Gil comes lumbering down the stairs, placing their bags on the walkway when he makes it outside. Wiping his hands on his pants out of reflex, he pats his back pocket, double-checking that he has his wallet.

"Is that everything?"

"I think so. Just waiting for Phale and James."

"Okay, I'm going to run these over. Our garment bags are in the car, this is your carry-on, we have our keys and phones... anything else won't be a huge problem if we forget it. You have the tickets?"

"I have the tickets, I have my purse, you have your wallet. The kennel has our numbers and Brass knows we're coming in tonight. Doesn't know why, of course."

Aziraphale and Wilson showed up well on time, determined not to keep their hosts waiting -- although Wilson wasn't exactly enthusiastic about rushing to get on the plane. They had a talk on the way over, the young doctor confessing his hatred of flying, and the angel assuring him that absolutely nothing would go wrong.

They pulled their bags from the trunk of the taxi and walked up to Sara, smiling. "Good day, my dear," said Aziraphale in greeting. "We haven't held you up, I hope?"

"Good morning. And no, you're both right on time, which is a - pardon the phrase - true blessing. We'll be able to get through security better."

She glances at James. "Are you okay?"

"I don't expect we'll have any troubles," Aziraphale replied absently. He gave Wilson a reassuring squeeze of his elbow. "James doesn't care for flying, I'm afraid. He'll be all right, once we get going, I'm sure."

Wilson gave Sara an apologetic smile and hefted his suitcase. "Let me get these into the car, and we're ready whenever you are. We're both very much looking forward to the weekend. It really was good of you to invite us."

"I don't mind the actual flying, but I hate the landings," she said with a sympathetic look at James.

She smiled then, moving to open the back of the vehicle. "I'm glad you both could make it, and I certainly hope you have a good time in Vegas. That is what the city is for. Among other things."

The Flight equalsmcsquared May 11 2006, 17:54:41 UTC
Security was as tedious as expected. Sara kept her complaints to herself when both she and Gil were pulled aside for random searches. The four found their seats and settled in for the duration of the flight.

"I hope you brought a book," she said wryly to Gil. "The movie is Pretty Woman."

"There are enough hookers in Vegas, I don't need to see one on the plane as well," he smirked as he pulled a book out of his bag and placed it on his lap.

"I think I'll review what my collaborators are planning on submitting and correct their errors," she says shamelessly, pulling out a notebook.

"Maybe I should have brought a copy of How to Win Friends and Influence People for you instead," he laughs under his breath.

"You know, most people don't bring their work to their weddings."

Arrival equalsmcsquared May 11 2006, 21:24:12 UTC
Making a point of annoying the sour-faced lady sitting across from them made the five hour flight go by very quickly.

Phale and Wilson debarked first, anticipation on both of their faces. Sara and Gil followed, holding hands, keeping an eye out for the party meeting them.

Speaking of...

"Oh shit. Catherine brought everyone."

"SARA! GRISSOM! OVER HERE!"

Sara closes her eyes. "Please tell me Greg isn't shouting into a megaphone."

"It's not too late to elope in Hawaii," he grumbles. "We could still make a run for it."
